i have alcatel Industrial switch of OS6465-12P where i have lost the username and password , i need to reset the switch the switch to factory default any help or rupport procedure is highly appreciated, thanks

Please try the below:
Power-cycle the switch and interrupt the boot sequence by typing ‘Enter’ during this bootup, until you get to the u-boot> prompt.
Apply the three following commands:
the first one will set the admin default password back: ‘switch’.
The second one will save this configuration.
The third one will reset the CPU.
u-boot> setAdminPasswordDefault
u-boot> saveenv
u-boot> reset

Hi adongula, thanks for your post. In my view the setAdminPasswordDefault command does exactly that, it removes the configured user account and reinstates the default account. So there is no need to save the environment variables as they have already altered to the value you were looking for. A boot command will boot the switch with the default user account. There is no need to reset the CPU.
