AP location not updating in OV2500

Hi,

Even after configuring LLDP for location in switches, still AP location in OV2500 not updating and showing as per attached image.

AP location deals with Port number on the Switch or Alias name of
the switch port. You want Geo Location, you need to enable it on Access Point Basic parameters.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.

AP location should show with “system name” as shown in below image along with port on the switch for example “GF-IDFA-SW GNI 3/1/1” instead of “Alcatel Lucent OS6560 GNI 3/1/1”. I have seen in some deployments.

From your output I see LLDP port-description is enabled but not system name

You can try to add below LLDP configuration on the 6560 to advertise System-name and see it helps.

lldp nearest-bridge chassis tlv management port-description enable system-name enable
