After encountering difficulties importing a configuration into the ALCATEL OmniSwitch 2260-48 non-PoE switch, I reset the switch to factory settings using WinSCP. During this process, the Aros.img and boot.cfg files became inaccessible. Additionally, the switch keeps rebooting and remains stuck at the prompt: RTL9310# #.
To resolve this issue, I need to create a recovery USB key and require the following files:
Firmware image (Aros.img)
Boot configuration file (boot.cfg)
Could you please provide these files or direct me to where I can download them?
If you have a valid support contract and are an ALE partner, you can download them from the ALE business portal. Otherwise I would contact your local reseller for advice. I don’t see why Aros.img got corrupted and how you would factory reset a switch using WinSCP. to factory reset, you simply delete everything but Aros.img in the /flash/working and flash/certified directories and reboot. If the content of one of these directories is different, the switch will try to boot from the Aros.img in /flash/certified. You could try to copy the Aros.img from /flash/working to flash/certified and remove everything else and reboot. This might do the trick
Thank you for your response. I realize that my previous message may not have been clear enough. Allow me to rephrase:

My local reseller does not offer support, and I do not have direct access to Alcatel to obtain these files. Moreover, the current size of these files on the switch is abnormally small, which makes me think they are corrupted and it is impossible to boot properly with these files or recover them to a USB drive.
Could you please provide these files or tell me where I can download them? Any assistance to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, it is a bit difficult to resolve this issue using this forum. The switch has two directories containing both the configuration files and operating system files. These are /flash/working and /flash/certified. At boot the switch compares the content of both directories using a bitcount and boots from /flash/certified directory when there is a difference between the content of both directories. It looks that there is a diffence in your case and the switch is trying to boot from the Aros.img in /flash certified. As it is corrupted the boot fails. You might be able to interrupt the boot process and either instruct the switch to boot from /flash/working or copy the Aros.img from /flash/working to /flash/certified and reboot the switch. I do not know the commands to do this however. In case of file system corruption, you will need a rescue disk. My best advise is to purchase a support contract and let the ALE TAC help you with this. In case of a hardware failure, you have advance replacement for the defective unit. See Support Services | Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (al-enterprise.com)
