How do you choose between a 2260/2360 and a 6360?
Other than the price, what’s the deciding factor for you guys? I’d like some input here, I don’t think there’s a wrong answer, so what do you all think? What’s everyone’s experiences and recommendations on this?
depends on the business reqs - by the sounds of the fact your looking at the lower end switches?
id say key things to look at between those two models you listed would be uplink speed reqs 1/10gb? PoE power budget and possibly hardware. are you looking to do dot1x or stack quite a few switches.

That’s kind of what I mean, they seem so similar, don’t they?!
Ok, if I need high POE budget, or 2.5 downlink for hosts or APs, or a stack of 5 or more, or power redundancy, then all of this screams 6560, sure!
But when I compare the 6360 with a 2360, both stack to only 4, both have the same POE budget, same VFL speeds, both have more than enough static routes for most ‘edge requirements’, both support 802.1x, with the only obvious difference being the 10g uplinks.
Does that justify the price difference? What am I not seeing?
