Line of Sight Configuration for AP1231 to extend Wi-Fi range.

Hi Everyone,

I have a scenario where wireless coverage is required and distance is like more than 200m. We have a plan to connect AP in line of Sight. I want to know how we can do that in OV.

I doubt 200 meters with AP 1231 Omnidirectional Antenna may not be the feasible and worst case you may not have very low throughput. Please reach out to the ALE team of your country.

You can test with Ekahau software with regards to feasibility and speeds which can be achieved etc. with regards to 200 meters distance etc.

May I know what is the type of configuration you are Planning for the AP using OVC/OVE like MESH or Bridge?

You can try configuring using OV-- AP registration---AP-WEB.
