OS6860 & OS6860E supported power supply

Hello fellow spacewalkers,

[NEWLINE]

as we had some os6860e-24 with older software around, I found in the documentation, that the OS6860-BP-PX (920W) were supported until Release 8.2.1. Not afterwards.

[NEWLINE]

Or were they supported at all?

[NEWLINE]

We wondered as why this is the case, does anyone has an idea? We have several OS6860-BP-PX, and installing them works, but PoE is not working, system goes into shutdown state and shown power provisioning is 0.

According to the hardware guide, it seems that the 920W power module does not work on the 24-port model.

Hi,

thank you. I've seen it and discovered that they were listed as supported in AOS 8.2.1

We wondered why they stopped supporting it. Or if it never was supported in the first place?
